Minimise the carbon footprint of your construction projects
already during the planning...
The reduction of CO2 begins with the choice of materials used in construction. Renewable and CO2-neutral building materials help to conserve fossil and mineral resources. For many years, elka-Holzwerke from Morbach in Rhineland-Palatinate has been committed to the topics of healthy living, emission reduction and sustainability and, with the esb PLUS board, has developed the right building material for your future project. It is currently the only wood-based board with CO2-neutral certification.
But almost more important than environmental friendliness is the perception of the building material in the room and the associated feel-good factor. Good indoor air quality is a must. After all, modern people spend about 90% of their time indoors. The state building regulations refer to the MVV TB (Musterverwaltungsvorschrift Technische Bestimmungen - Model Administrative Regulation on Technical Provisions) with significantly stricter emission limits, which has been in force since January 2019. With their extremely low emissions, the innovative esb PLUS wood-based boards meet all the requirements of the new regulation and are thus also fully in line with the trend in terms of health protection. This was confirmed by the expert opinion G-160-18-0004 of the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) for the esb PLUS on 19.6.2019.
Environmental seals such as the "Blue Angel" and certificates from the Sentinel Haus Institute or the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), as well as the "Premium Quality" wood material seal ensure high quality. The esb PLUS board has already been awarded the IONIC AWARD in 2017 and the Material Award in Ecology in 2018.
In order to avoid contractual and legal problems, careful selection of building materials during planning is necessary for health protection when it comes to drawing up the bills of quantities. The installation of esb PLUS boards guarantees legal certainty by complying with operating within all required limit values - a good feeling for everyone involved.
