Sawn timber has a long tradition at elka; sawmills have been an important pillar of the company since 1906.
In our highly flexible sawmill in Morbach, we cut approx. 300,000 solid cubic metres of spruce and Douglas fir annually from the extensive forests of the Hunsrück. We deliver our individual products mainly to Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and England.
The sawn timber from elka is found in house construction, the packaging industry and in trade.
