Documented building products for your planning
The reduction of CO2 begins with the choice of materials used in construction. Renewable building materials help to conserve fossil and mineral resources. For many years, elka-Holzwerke from Morbach in Rhineland-Palatinate with the esb PLUS board, has developed the right building material for your future project.
Alongside the environmental balance, what counts is the perception of the building material in the room and the associated feel-good factor. Good indoor air quality is a must. After all, modern people spend about 90% of their time indoors. The state building regulations refer to the Administrative Regulation on Technical Building Rules (MVV TB), which sets binding emission requirements for construction products used indoors. esb PLUS boards have a formaldehyde emission of at most 0.03 ppm (declaration of performance DoP-PB-52).

The esb PLUS P5 chipboard (9–30 mm) carries the Blue Angel ecolabel under DE-UZ 76 (label use agreement no. 30228). An SHI product passport issued by the Sentinel Holding Institut (no. 12988-10-1004) and a plant-specific environmental product declaration (EPD-ELK-20260448-IBA1-DE) are available; the board is listed in the DGNB Navigator under code HTZ43H.
In order to avoid contractual and legal problems, careful selection of building materials during planning is necessary for health protection when it comes to drawing up the bills of quantities. The emission values of esb PLUS are documented in the declaration of performance and the SHI product passport and can be referenced directly in the tender.
